HAPPY HALLOWEEN and the MONTH OF OCTOBER ~ didn’t last long!!

The cutest grandkids ever and their fun Halloween costumes.  How we missed being there in person to see them.  You all look great!   We didn’t get any Trick or Treaters here !

We started the month out bringing in 3 new missionaries mid-transfer.  Sister Faulofo from Samoa, Elder Waqa from Fiji  and Elder Caindoy from the Phillipines. Then a couple of weeks later we had 6 more come in.  Sister Wengert from Arizona, Sister Shakin from Wisconsin, and Sister Anitema from Tonga, Elder Paramore from Samoa, Elder Saiyvong from Laos, and Elder Faatau from Tahiti.  We just had Golden Training with all of them.  Wonderful and smart missionaries.  We are blessed to have them.

Also this month we had our wonderful friends from Farmington join our Missionary effort, Elder and Sister Redd.  We overwhelmed them when they got here, but it didn’t take them long to catch on to everything and they are doing awesome, and helping and blessing our lives and the missionaries.  We LOVE all our senior couples.  We couldn’t do this without them.  The Richins have been serving as our Senior Zone Leaders and will be going home in a few weeks.  How we will miss them!  They have taught us so much.  dsc00176img_0751img_0739

We had our first Mission Presidents Seminar this month.  It was in Adelaide.  It was wonderful.  We were taught by our wonderful Area Presidency and was able to associate with all the Mission Presidents and their wives in our area.  Some were on their 3rd year, others on their 2nd, and all the ones like us just starting that we met in the MTC.  It’s awesome how you have a natural connection with them, because we are all going thru the same type of things.  We had Elder and Sister Nielson come here a day before and met and instructed the missionaries and then our senior couples at a potluck dinner that night.  They stayed with us, along with our wonderful friends President and Sister Larkin from the Marshall Islands.  We went to the Airport all together the next morning.

We also had 14 Missionaries depart to go home in October.  We again will miss them and wish them the best in their lives at home.  We were in Adelaide when they left and it was sad to not be with them on their last day.  We were blessed to be able to turn this over to a counselor in the Mission Presidency, President Tramachi and his wife and they said they loved it!  of Course!  We had an Elder Likio, leave mid-transfer to get home for a school scholarship and one that went home to Mt Pleasant ~ after a bad break on his ankle that he will need an operation.  We hope to have him back in 4 months or so!  We miss you Elder Condie!
